Hey there my powerful people!
It’s Day 10 of our Purpose Detox! Yes we made it! Lol We’re talking about people pleasing and needing approval to move into our purposes. A lot of us majored in college degrees to please our parents, to impress people and at the end of our college career realized we were no closer to feeling fulfilled. That’s people pleasing, that’s living up to people’s expectations. We gotta get free from that. But we’re so used to it, we learn when we are children we should do things for the applause of people. When we say our ABC’s and they clap for us, or we dance or sing and they clap—so we grow up performing for the applause of other people, whether they are parents, peers or lovers.
You do not need the applause from the stands to go and pursue your dream and fulfill your purpose in life. Because the truth is people will always applaud success no matter what kind of success it is. They will applaud you once you’ve made it–they may placate you now in the infant stages of you pursuing your dreams but when you succeed–and if you follow your purpose you will–they will clap for you. But if you’re waiting for them to clap now just forget it. Work hard first–find your purpose–pursue that and then let them applaud.
The only agreement you need is the one God gave you when He put you in your mother’s womb. He said YES to who you are before you even knew yourself. He’s been clapping and applauding you. He’s applauding you now as you read this because He sees your hunger and desire to be who He made you to be. I’m applauding that in you as well!
Go be fabulous, stop waiting for the squad to join you. Do it alone, once you win, you’ll see them running up.
Hello Beautiful Ones,
So this morning was so funny on Periscope when we did our Day 9 of the Purpose Detox. I woke up late, my tripod wouldn’t stay still, my computer died and so our song didn’t play and so on….that sounds like a terrible morning and start to Periscope right? I was tempted to think so and start the scope all over but I didn’t–I pushed past the paralysis of perfection and rocked out anyway! Here’s a free tidbit for you–stop waiting to do everything perfect before you pursue your dreams and your purpose.
So here’s four reasons you are busy and still unhappy. First let me explain what I mean by being busy: a long to do list just so you can feel important or accomplished but you really never get anything done and being tired at the end of the day with no real results–
You may being doing this because:
- You’re chasing the dollar dollar bills
- You’re trying to be social media famous
- You’re copying somebody else’s dream
- You’re living up to other people’s expectations
If you’re busy for any of those reasons STOP IT. We want things on our to-do list that are connected to our Purpose. Stop and ask yourself WHY you’re doing the things you’re doing. It may not be one of the reasons in my list–if you find more put it in the comments for me.
I love y’all!
Hey beautiful souls!
I hope you’ve been joining me on Periscope @ycoach for our 40 Purpose Detox!
Today we’re talking about the thought that our purpose is “too hard”, “too difficult”, “too much work”, “not in enough time” to fulfill our purposes. All of those thoughts boil down to us really thinking that it’s impossible to really do the thing that’s deep down in our hearts. It paralyzes us, because the world impossible basically means “don’t even try it!”
Now you know this is a detox so every thought in the previous paragraph is completely ridiculous. There is nothing that is impossible for God, which means nothing’s impossible for you either. Why would God put a dream in your heart that you can never have? That would be so incredible sadistic and mean of Him. And He’s not a mean God. He’s not out here dangling a carrot in your face to frustrate you.
If the dream is in your heart it’s because you and God are very much able to do it!
So it may have been easier to dream and sit back looking at something you can never have, but right now because I’ve just told you that you can have it–you now have to rise up and become the person who can handle that BIG dream. You and I can’t sit on the sidelines paralyzed anymore because if the dream really is possible that means we need to get to work.
No more copping out because it’s too hard. Roll up your sleeves and get to work!
Love you beautiful ones!
If you haven’t already joined us on our Purpose Detox journey on Periscope make sure you log in 7:30am MST–Monday to Friday!
Okay so let’s talk about exactly what inadequacy is. It literally means feeling of being insufficient for a purpose–wow! A lot of us know exactly why God put us on this Earth but we feel like we’re not enough. We have a lot of help with this, we have people in our lives that are constantly putting us down, pointing out our faults and basically making us feel like we’re failing at life. BUT THAT’S A LIE. YOU ARE NOT FAILING AT LIFE.
The purpose, the divine design of who you are and why you are on this earth is amazing. Everything about you has been perfectly put together for the purpose God called you to. There is no extra thing you need to go get that can make you more perfect for what God has called you to. Now that’s not to say you don’t need to mature in your strengths–but they’re already your strengths. God isn’t focusing on your weaknesses–He already made your weaknesses somebody else’s strength so we can compliment each other.
Everything that you absolutely love to do and would pay someone to let you do are the exact things you need to fulfill your purpose. They’re already your strengths. They’re already your desires. You are enough for exactly what God called you to do!
Love you fierce one!
Okay, so if you’ve been joining me on Periscope you know that we are on Day 4 of our Purpose Detox! Read the previous blog to find out what the process of the Purpose Detox. We are cleaning out our souls from all the negative thoughts and beliefs that is keeping us from living a life of purpose and of our dreams. We should be getting up out of bed every morning excited to live! If you’re not there make sure you join us on Periscope to do this thang!
Ok now, lets talk about Comparison Paralysis. Basically stop comparing yourself to everybody else, but not just yourself but your purpose. What we do is if God has put a desire in our heart, for example being an actor, we look at all the great actors and think “I could never do that like they do it, they’re just soo good,” or we God calls us to teach and we say, “but teachers are so boring I don’t want to be boring.” lol
Here’s the truth, if God was able to gave each of the billions of people that have lived and currently live on this Earth a unique fingerprint–He can certainly give each and every one of us a unique calling that looks like nobody else. Nobody else can do what God’s called you to like you can. This is what He always tells me, “No eye has seen and no ear has heard what I’ve called you to do.” Which means, I can’t look around me to find the blueprint of what God has called me to do–I can learn principles but I will only find that unique blueprint in God. So STOP COMPARING YOUR PURPOSE TO ANOTHER PERSON’S PURPOSE.
Something I didn’t mention in the post is that we often have “purpose-envy” we wish we were called to do something else. Stop that too! Trust me the happiest, most fulfilled place you can be is in the purpose God has called YOU to.
Love you beloved,
Go rock the World!
Are you looking around wondering why everybody else seems so happy and you’re just sitting there thinking what about me? It seems like everyone is getting it together but you’re stuck and bored. You’re just going to a job that you hate, you don’t really enjoy the relationships with your friends and family, and the highlight of your week is your day off. Been there done that!!
How do you get out of that cycle? You discover the reason you were born. It’s a discovery because it’s already IN YOU! Nobody has the key to it and has it locked up. It’s right up in that beautiful heart of yours.
Join me on Periscope at @ycoach and let’s detox from all the toxins in our souls so we can finally start living the life we were born to live. Living your purpose is that only thing that will rescue you from the hamster wheel you’re on right now. Time to get off and walk your path!
Love you beloved. Kisses!
